Special Events was adapted by the University Activities Center's Executive Board in September, 1999 to focus on collaborative programming. The committee is designed to co-sponsor events that will enrich the campus community and diversify the programming of UAC. It is important to note that UAC is not a funding organization. UAC's money is used for the programming of our committees, and while you may still fill-out a proposal if little or no programming assistance is needed by Special Events, please understand that we try to focus only on programming and very rarely give money to events we are not directly involved with. Proposals for Winter 2002 must be received by February 1, 2002, in order to be considered. Proposals should be returned to the UAC office on the 4th floor of the Michigan Union from 9-5, Monday-Friday.
