Rachael Brody - Perdita
After spending her youth frolicking through the mountain-top fields of Virginia, Rachael was delighted to take on her role in The Winter's Tale for what better place to retreat back to her roots but on the stage! When not sheering sheep you can find her in the Frieze building as a BFA directing major. Huge thank you to the cast and crew--it's been very pastoral. And if you get the urge to poke her on the facebook- DO IT!
Emily Chaloner - Director
Emily is a sophomore majoring in Women's Studies and Creative Writing. Last year she acted in "Merchant of Venice" for Rude Mechanicals and assistant directed "Titus Andronicus" for Basement Arts. She has had a fabulous time working on the show and would especially like to thank her family and friends for all their support. Emily is not so much psychedelic as she is pastoral.
Jennifer Chiles - First Lady/Second Attendant
Jennifer is a freshmen and this is her first (but hopefully not her last) production with The Rude Mechs. She likes Led Zeppelin, Ritter's frozen custard, The Blues Brothers, Golden Retrievers, and Doug Werder. Special talent: she can name all U.S. presidents in chronological order by memory! Just ask her after the show. She would like to thank Al Duncan for being a fox--and a special thanks to those who came to see the show.
Josh Crawford - Antigonus
Josh, while taking night-classes for proper teddy-bear etiquette, sleeps in his car with a tub of Bubblicious© and bath salt while reading English literature for all ages.
Matt Devine - Camillo
Matt was born to Lord Bullworth Forkshire and his wife the Lady Cocoa Puffswell in the 86th year of the 20th century of our era. He trained rigorously from a young age to become a master of the Dark arts, but since the release of the Harry Potter films he has been forced to postpone his training and practices. He wishes to thank the Rude Mechanicals for protecting him until he can surface into the general public.
Jeff Druchniak - Polixenes
Jeff makes his return to the RudeMechs stage after an absence of nearly five years, during which he learned shorthand, experimented with interesting facial hair formations, and got to know Barack Obama before he was cool. Also he experienced special changes that happen inside a young man's body at a certain time, followed by an immediate segue into his current state of decrepit old age. He now brings the experience of those long years of exile to bear on his work with this otherwise still young and dewy-eyed cast. Previous roles include Stanley in Streetcar, Evil Twin in Damned to Talkies: The Keanu Reeves Story, Mrs. Cartman in South Park On Ice!, and Suge Knight at far too many Halloween parties to catalog. He dedicates his performance to Kathy and his bio to the Office of the Vice President, Richard B. Cheney.
Al Duncan - Producer
Al is a necrophilologist.

Credits include: Gremio, The Taming of the Shrew (Fall 2002); Earl Rivers, Richard III (Winter 2003); Lorenzo, The Merchant of Venice (Fall 2003); Producer, The Acharnians of Aristophanes (Winter 2004).
Kate Hutchins - Stage Manager
Kate Hutchins has a habit of staring at her pedals and gears when she rides her bike. At seven, this resulted in her hitting her neighbor's parked car, injuring herself and the car, though the bike was fine. This is her first Rudes show. She thanks the cast and crew for their awesomeness, her roommates for remembering what she looks like, and Mark for inspiring a life-changing jealousy of his involvement in campus theatre.
Michael Hyatt - Archidamus/Officer of the Court
Michael was born in 1958 in Detroit, MI. Only to be frozen and unthawed in 1985 because the world wasn't yet ready for his lame jokes.Currently he attends University of Michigan majoring in Astronomy and English. He also acts in regional theater.
Ryan Jory - Shepherd
WANTED, DEAD OR ALIVE: Ryan K. Jory; a.k.a. Tobias Quinton; a.k.a. Hareton Thomas; a.k.a Herald Thomas. Reward for capture: $500. Suspect is wanted on seven counts of bad-acting and one count of panhandling. Claimants of reward must possess at least 60% of carcass to be eligible for cash prize. Those in possession of more than 10% of carcass will receive free Ann Arbor Police Department T-shirt. Available sizes: Small through X-Large.
Erin Kaplan - Paulina
Erin Kaplan is a senior in the RC, since prying her out of the East Quad Auditorium or Shakespeare in the Arb is a lofty task, this is only her second Rude Mechanicals performance. She want to thank this talented cast and crew & her wonderful roommates and friends for putting up with never seeing her!
Andrew Klein - Clown
Andrew enjoys long walks on the tracks with a jug of Carlo Rossi. Past affiliations/interests include but are not limited to: stealing cafeteria food, freeloading off of his girlfriend, and hustling freshman in poker. Since nothing he has to say is noteworthy, with the only except being that he is a harDCore citizen of our nation's capital, you should check out his band's website (www.themidnightspecial.org) where he lets his guitar do the talking for him. When asked for a quote for this bio, Andrew replied, "Love is rampant. Let tonight be a night of revels." OK, Andrew, whatever you say.
Collin Kravis - Cleomenes/Mariner/Second Gentleman
Collin is a freshman at U-M who intends to study film. "The Winter's Tale" is naturally his first production with the Rude Mechanicals, but he has had extensive previous theatrical experience since fourth grade and hopes to continue pursuing acting so he can one day win numerous acting awards and use the national media coverage to taunt the people who picked on him in middle school. Go FHS!
Zach Lupetin - Autolycus
Zach is making his Rude Mechanicals debut with "The Winter's Tale". He loves Shakespeare (intimately) and is happy as a minx to have been given the opportunity to play a "rogue". Past Shakespeare credits include As You Like It (Touchstone) and Macbeth (Macduff) as well as other shows around campus. He'd like to give a shout out to his family who nourishes his love of theatre and his beloved blues rock quartet "The Midnight Special" who will be rocking out soon at a venue near you!
Lauren Michniacki - Emilia/Mopsa/Gentlewoman/Producer
Lauren is a second year student in the College of Engineering and will be hopefully, if all goes according to plan, spending the winter semester studying at the University of Bristol, England. She was involved with the Rude Mechs last year, playing a lounge lizard in the Merchant of Venice and stage managing the New Works Festival last spring. Lauren would like to tell Hannah and Becke that they're definitely sleeping on the futon tonight, love the token bitch.
Megan Nestor - Dion/Servant in Bohemia/Third Gentlewoman
Megan is a freshman from Farmington Hills, MI. This is her very first Rude Mechs show ever, and she's thrilled to be involved! Other than that, her life is pretty boring so there's not too much else to say, except thanks to all the coolest people in her life: her fantabulous roomie, Catherine; her two amazing sisters, Bethany and Melissa; and of course, her incredible parents. “I love you guys!”
Zack Spencer - Florizel
This napoleon in rags comes to you from the north country, just a hungry kid tryin to make a name for himself. Usually, hes found scientifically socializing in the RC, but finds time to run (down Highway 61) and play and hope that the roof stays on. Propositions to Garfunkel maidens, Scotch blood, the beacon (4:29), Staples, Robby Z, and Cosmopolitanism - may you always have the nine favorite pies that you like best (with leftovers for the very hungry moose and very deserving porcupine). 'when asked to do 100pushups always smoke a pound of deodorant beforehand.'
Lindsay Strauss - Hermione
Lindsay is a sophomore who likes long walks, deep philosophical debates, and a fine merlot from time to time, is delighted to be in her 3rd production with the Rude Mechanicals. She is currently studying history and spanish, which will hopefully amount to a fulfilling career as an ambulance chaser or as Ebert's replacement. She would like to thank her understanding roommate and the harmonica guy in the Diag for all the mad jams.
Nizar Taki - Gaoler/First Attendant/Servant in Sicilia
Nizar Taki is not an actor, but is, in fact, a Russian spy sent to the United States by Vladimir Putin to investigate instances of money laundering. He auditioned for The Winter's Tale knowing that his targets would be in the audience, and encourages audience members not to panic when the takedown occurs after Act III. He would like to thank the CIA for their help with intelligence information. Long live the Motherland!
Douglas Werder - Leontes
Little is known about the enigma called Douglas Werder. One rumour weaves a tale of Douglas being raised by a family of bears in the ruggeds of Montana. The story goes that Douglas was forced to leave the cave after accidentally killing his father bear in a battle for authority. With a heavy soul, Douglas set out with only his sheer cunning and intellect, risking the wilds of America for years until finding comfort in this play in Ann Arbor. Perhaps the part of the hungry bear reminded him of home. Another rumour tells of Douglas being an education major who was raised by his loving parents in St. Clair, MI. We will let you decide the truth.....
