HOW TO AUDITION

• Come to the Mass Meeting on Monday, January 11th at 8:30 PM in the Michigan Room of the Michigan League (2nd Floor). We can answer all your questions there.
• Sign up for an audition time. The sign-up sheet will be posted on the bulletin board outside of the UAC Office on the 4th Floor of the Michigan Union beginning Monday, January 11th at 11:00 PM.
• Prepare two 16-bar cuts, at least one must be from the show. If you are auditioning for a specific role, we strongly encourage you to choose two songs from that character. We will have a piano accompanist--you may not perform a cappella. Here are a couple of options from the show:

• Arrive 15 minutes prior to your audition time at the UAC Office, 4th Floor of the Michigan Union. Bring your sheet music for the accompanist. Find the Stage Manager waiting outside--sign in and fill out an audition form. Warm up. When it is time, be confident and have fun.
• Show up to the mandatory dance call on Saturday, January 16th from 10 AM to 12 PM at the Student Theatre Activities Complex (STAC) on South Campus (Map to STAC). Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. You will learn a short routine from the show and perform it in groups. No dance experience required. NOTE: The Commuters North and South do not run on the weekends.
• Watch your e-mail for the callback list.. We will let you know during your first audition when to expect it. It will include very clear instructions about callbacks, which will also be held at the UAC Office.
