Impact Dance is a co-ed dance company made up of non-dance majors. We are relatively small, with only about 10-16 members at any time. Our group creates student-choreographed pieces of a variety of styles, including jazz, hip-hop, lyrical, tap, ballet, pointe and modern. Our music ranges from David Grey to Beck to Ani DiFranco to Britney, so it's always quite a mix.

Impact performs in our own campus show on March 8, 2003, in the Mendelssohn Theatre of the Michigan League. and in other campus venues throughout fall and winter semester. Also, look for our annual production of Dance Mix 2003 in March at the Michigan Theater.

Auditions for new company members:

  1. Saturday, September 11th, 8pm, Union Ballroom
  2. Callbacks Sunday, September 14th, 8pm
  3. Power wear comfortable clothes and dance shoes (or socks)

We'd love to see you there. Just come prepared to perform and have fun! If you have any more questions, we're more than happy to answer them, so let us know. Contact Jen and Ashley at uac.impact@umich.edu.
